What an Abu Dhabi city tour covers
City tours in Abu Dhabi are built from a small set of stops: the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the presidential palace Qasr Al Watan, the Corniche waterfront and, on some routes, Saadiyat or Yas Island. The stops and the length of the day differ by operator, so read each tour description before you book.
Check what is included. A tour may list transport and a guide but not entry tickets, and a mosque stop does not always mean a visit inside the prayer hall. Look for the words that say which parts you enter.

The mosque stop
What a city tour can and cannot promise.
Entry and registration
Tourists enter through the visitor centre and follow set routes. Fees for 2026: AED 10 for foreign visitors, AED 5 for Emirates ID holders and AED 8 for guests arriving with a tour operator. Check the current fee on your tour voucher or when you register. See mosque tickets.
Public cultural tours
The mosque runs free public cultural tours at 11:00, 13:00 and 17:00, and on Friday at 11:00 and 17:00. They last 30 to 45 minutes, run in English and Arabic and start on the east side. Arrive about 15 minutes early.
Dress and photos
Women wear loose, non-transparent clothing to the ankles with sleeves to the wrists, and cover their hair. Men avoid transparent, tight or sleeveless tops, and fully covered legs are recommended. Private photos are allowed at the marked photo stops. Professional shooting needs permission.

Where and what
Qasr Al Watan is the presidential palace in Al Ras Al Akhdar, near the Corniche. Parts of it are open to visitors. Opening hours can change, so confirm them for your date.
Tickets
Adults pay about AED 65 and children AED 30 in 2026. Children under 4 enter free, juniors are aged 4 to 17, and children up to 11 need a responsible adult with a valid ticket. A ticket is tied to a date and time slot and does not allow re-entry. A guided tour is a separate extra.
Palace in Motion
The show is part of the general ticket only if it takes place on your day. There is no show during Ramadan or on Islamic holidays. Last entry to the palace is at closing time, and last entry for the show is 30 minutes before it starts.
Getting there
Free self-parking is available, and a shuttle runs between the visitor centre and the palace. Valet parking costs AED 35.
Corniche and the rest of the city
Time on the water, and where to go next.
The Corniche is a waterfront with walking and cycling paths, parks and a beach. There is a free public beach area, but not every beach section is free, so check before you spread a towel. Saadiyat Island has the Louvre Abu Dhabi, and Yas Island has the leisure parks. Ferrari World costs AED 345 online, and at the gate at AED 360, 370 or 380 depending on the season.

Checks that save problems on the day.
Inclusions
Check transport, guide, hotel pickup and entry tickets one by one. A tour that passes a landmark is different from one that includes the visit inside.
Friday and Ramadan
On Friday the mosque is open from 09:00 to 11:30 and again from 14:30. In Ramadan the public cultural tours run at 11:00 and 13:00 and not on Friday. Make sure your itinerary respects this.
Travel advice
Check your government's current guidance before you travel. The German Foreign Office advises against non-essential travel to the UAE (as of October 2026). The US State Department lists Level 3, Reconsider travel (as of October 2026). The UK FCDO, updated 24 July 2026, warns of regional escalation and possible flight disruption. Follow official instructions.

It usually combines the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Qasr Al Watan and the Corniche. The exact stops, the length and whether entry tickets are included depend on the operator.
Do city tours go inside the mosque?
Not always. Read the tour description to see whether it lists a visit inside. Registration and the entry fee apply to the mosque, and the visitor centre is the entry point.
How much is a ticket for Qasr Al Watan?
Adults pay about AED 65 and children AED 30 in 2026. Children under 4 enter free. Confirm the price when you book, because opening hours and prices can change.
Is Qasr Al Watan open every day?
Hours can change, so confirm the opening for your date. Note that the Palace in Motion show does not run in Ramadan or on Islamic holidays.
Can I do the city by public transport?
