Louvre Abu Dhabi at a glance
The Louvre Abu Dhabi stands on Saadiyat Island, next to the water. It is the main museum to pair with the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, because the two cover very different sides of Abu Dhabi: a working mosque and an art museum under a large dome. They sell separate tickets, so plan them as two visits.

Our picks: the Louvre Abu Dhabi
From Dubai, the mosque and Louvre day includes both entries. From Abu Dhabi, the half day does the same; if you only want the museum, the entry ticket is enough.

Go to the mosque in the afternoon and take a public cultural tour at 13:00 or 17:00, then use the evening for the Louvre. From Friday to Sunday the galleries stay open until 20:30 and the dome area until midnight. Public bus line 94 connects the two: it stops at Saadiyat Louvre, Abu Dhabi Bus Station and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Add time for the change and the walk to the entrance. For most visitors, this order works best on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
The standard bus fare is AED 2 on boarding plus AED 0.05 per kilometre, capped at AED 5 per trip, and children up to 10 travel free. See how to get to the mosque and the mosque opening hours.

Planning tips for the Louvre
Small points that shape the day.
Choose the evening
The dome area is open late, so the museum suits the hours after the mosque. From Friday to Sunday the galleries close at 20:30.
Leave room for closed rooms
A gallery can be closed for new works. Do not build a plan around one room.
Dress for the mosque first
If you go to the mosque the same day, wear the mosque clothing from the start: loose, non-transparent clothing, sleeves to the wrists, and a head covering for women. It also works in the museum.
Book the mosque by time
Public cultural tours at the mosque run at 11:00, 13:00 and 17:00, and on Friday at 11:00 and 17:00. Pick the one that leaves enough time to cross the city.
Louvre Abu Dhabi: frequently asked questions
How much is a Louvre Abu Dhabi ticket?
An adult ticket costs AED 70 in 2026, VAT included. Visitors under 18 enter free.
Is the Louvre Abu Dhabi open on Monday?
Check the museum's current calendar before you plan a Monday visit. Tuesday to Thursday the galleries run from 10:00 to 18:30, and Friday to Sunday from 10:00 to 20:30.
Is there one ticket for the Louvre and the mosque?
The two sites sell separate tickets. The museum passes launched on 1 March 2026 cover other museums, not the mosque. Book the mosque separately, or choose a guided tour that lists both stops.
How do I get from the mosque to the Louvre Abu Dhabi?
Public bus line 94 serves both the mosque and the Saadiyat Louvre stop. A taxi is another option. Plan extra time for the change and the walk.
Until what time can I enter the dome area?
The dome area is open until midnight, with last entry at 23:00.
Is this the official Louvre Abu Dhabi website?
No. This is an independent guide, not run by the museum or the mosque. Check hours and prices on the day you travel.
