Things to do in Abu Dhabi at a glance
Most visitors come for the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and then add one or two more stops. The main things to do in Abu Dhabi cluster in four areas: the Corniche waterfront, the palace at Al Ras Al Akhdar, the museum district on Saadiyat and the theme parks on Yas Island.
The sights are spread out, so a day usually works best with one area plus the mosque. Prices below are in dirham and apply to 2026. They can change, so check the current rate before you buy.

Qasr Al Watan
The presidential palace, partly open to visitors.
Qasr Al Watan sits in Al Ras Al Akhdar, close to the Corniche. Only parts of the palace are open to the public, and the opening times can change, so look up the current ones before you go.
Tickets are valid for a set date and time and do not allow re-entry to the palace building. Children under 4 enter free, and the junior tariff covers ages 4 to 17. A guided tour is a separate extra. The Palace in Motion show is only included on days when it actually runs, and it does not run during Ramadan or on Islamic holidays.
Parking is free and a shuttle runs between the visitor center and the palace. Valet parking costs AED 35.

Saadiyat, Corniche and Yas
Three areas, three different kinds of day.
Saadiyat: museums and beach
The Louvre Abu Dhabi charges AED 70 for adults from 18 years, and visitors under 18 enter free. Galleries open Tuesday to Thursday from 10:00 to 18:30 and Friday to Sunday from 10:00 to 20:30, with last entry 30 minutes earlier. The dome area stays open until midnight, with last entry at 23:00. Check the Monday hours before you go. The Zayed National Museum opened on December 3, 2025. The Guggenheim Abu Dhabi has an announced opening date of December 11, 2026 and is not open yet. teamLab Phenomena is on the bus line 94 route.
Corniche: waterfront walks
The Corniche offers walking and cycling paths, parks and a beach. A public beach area is free to enter, while some other beach sections charge a fee. It works well for a relaxed afternoon after a morning at the mosque.
Yas Island: theme parks
Ferrari World charges AED 345 for an online ticket and AED 360, AED 370 or AED 380 at the counter, depending on the season. Children under 3 enter free when accompanied. Ride restrictions depend on height, so check them if you travel with small children.
The Louvre Abu Dhabi has its own page with tickets and hours. Bus line 94 connects Saadiyat and the mosque, which makes a combined day easy to plan without a car.
Getting around and combining stops
Simple ways to link the sights.
Bus line 94
The line runs from Saadiyat Louvre and teamLab Phenomena via Abu Dhabi Bus Station to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. A standard ride costs AED 2 plus AED 0.05 per km, up to AED 5, and children up to 10 years travel free. It is the cheapest way to link the museums and the mosque.
Taxi
A taxi starts at AED 5 by day with a minimum fare of AED 12, and at AED 5.50 at night. It is faster between Yas, the Corniche and the mosque. More on fares is on the getting there page.
From Dubai
A free Cultural Express runs from Dubai, with stops at the Louvre Abu Dhabi and Qasr Al Watan. It does not stop at the mosque. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are roughly 90 minutes apart. See the mosque from Dubai for trips that include it.
teamLab Phenomena
This digital art space opened in April 2025 and sells visit tickets through its operator. It sits on the line 94 route, which makes it easy to add to a Saadiyat day.
