Sheikh Zayed Mosque entry fees at a glance
Visitors pay an entry fee. It is AED 10 for visitors from abroad in 2026, AED 5 for holders of an Emirates ID and AED 8 for guests who arrive through a tour operator. Official delegations pay by category. Check the current fee when you register.
The free public cultural tours are a separate matter. They carry no charge of their own, but that does not make the general entry free. You can register at points in the visitor centre or book ahead. Booking ahead is the safer choice if your date is fixed, if you travel on a Friday or if you come during Ramadan.

How registration works
Three steps for a smooth entry.
1. Choose your date
Check the hours first. Regular days run from 09:00 to 20:30 with the last entry at 20:00. On Fridays you can visit from 09:00 to 11:30 and from 14:30 to 20:30, and the main prayer hall can stay closed to tourists until 15:00.
Opening hours โ2. Register or book ahead
Registration is possible at the points in the visitor centre, and you can also book ahead. A fixed date, a Friday or Ramadan are good reasons to book before you travel. Tourists enter through the visitor centre and follow set routes, while worshippers use separate entrances.
3. Pick a tour if you want one
The public cultural tours start at 11:00, 13:00 and 17:00 on the east side, and on Fridays at 11:00 and 17:00. A day trip adds transport. Compare the options on the tours page.

Women wear loose, opaque clothing to the ankles, sleeves to the wrists and a covering that hides all the hair. Men avoid transparent, tight or sleeveless tops, and fully covered legs are recommended. Skip clothing with unsuitable drawings or slogans. Bring suitable clothes of your own, because rental is not something to count on.
Keep your voice low and your phone silent. Do not smoke, sleep or lie down, and avoid intimate gestures. E-cigarettes, lighters, sharp objects, lasers, speakers and plush toys or dolls are not allowed, and drones are not allowed over the site. Private photos are fine at the marked photo stops, while professional filming needs a permit. Do not count on bringing water into the building, so drink before you enter. Follow the instructions of the staff and security.
