How to get to Sheikh Zayed Mosque
The mosque stands in Abu Dhabi between the Maqta, Mussafah and Sheikh Zayed bridges. It is not the mosque in Dubai, so check the city when you book a ride. You can arrive by city bus, by taxi or by car. There is no direct bus from Dubai to the mosque.
Coming from Dubai, the two cities are roughly 90 minutes apart. If you prefer a transfer with a guide, look at the mosque trips from Dubai. The details below are for getting there on your own. Fares are for 2026 and can change.

The Souq Al Jami' next to the visitor area has shops and restaurants. It is separate from the entry control and the prayer areas.

Travel advice and flights
Check before you book.
The German Federal Foreign Office advises against non-essential travel to the United Arab Emirates, as of October 2026. It notes that regional escalation can disrupt air traffic at short notice. Look up your own country's current travel advice before you book flights or a transfer, and follow official instructions during your stay.
Timing your arrival
Match your ride to the visiting hours.
